Hi, I'm Sarah and I run my small Character Creations business from my home in Dorset. When I first discovered polymer clay in the 1990's, I was really inspired by the diversity of the clay and the fact that once the clay is fired it can be kept for many years. I started making miniature characters and attended many local craft-fairs where people could see my work.
The cake topper business first started when I had a few requests for personalised cake toppers in January 2006; I soon realised there was a demand for 3D figurines both for cakes and as keepsakes! I decided to set up a website and, using my self-taught skills, started making cake toppers full time.
As you can see from the gallery I enjoy a challenge; it's fun to try out new ideas and see what works. I love the fact that couples can have something made that is bespoke and personal to them that they can also keep long after their special day.
